Hey, I'm Rebekka
I aim to deliver stories with high stakes, fierce and strange characters, and the kind of wonder that hurts a little, in all the right ways.
Born in Norway in 1992, I grew up surrounded by books, in the halls of Gyldendal. Norway’s largest publishing house. My mum (Mamma) was the only female chief cover designer at the time.

In my thirties, after moving to San Diego, California, I found the contrast between frozen Nordic hills and sun-drenched beaches inspiring. In 2021, after being told I could never be a writer, I finally found the courage to prove otherwise and began my first novel.

I hold a Master’s degree in Behavior Analysis and Complexity from Oslo Metropolitan University and have published in scientific journals, as well as self-publishing my grandfather’s memoir, Slinger.

Today, I’m working on several exciting projects, from a YA space opera to a speculative fiction novel. I’m incredibly proud of my debut, Shattered Ice, and can’t wait to share more stories that explore the strange, human connection, and the beauty of the unknown.
